AKROMID® A and B – Basic Program

AKROMID® A (Polyamide 6.6) and AKROMID® B (Polyamide 6) are engineering compounds, being characterized by high mechanical strength, stiffness and thermal resistance. Furthermore, these polyamides offer high toughness at low temperatures as well as easy processing. Our basic program ranges from unreinforced variants up to 60 % glass fiber reinforced materials.

Due to the extraordinary characteristics, those materials are indispensable in almost all areas of technology for different parts and machine elements, as high-quality electrical insulation materials and for many special applications.

AKROMID® HI-series

Due to our high-impact resistant modified types in PA 6 and PA 66, we offer a highly competitive product portfolio to the customer, covering all areas starting with standard impact resistance up to high notched impact resistant grades. The impact resistant modification subdivides into the areas "dry-"and "cold-impact resistant."

The product types are mainly used in the automobile industry sector, but also in the domestic industry, the building industry and the leisure time- and sporting goods industry, AKROMID® has become a considerable factor.

AKROMID® S

Particular mention within this product family deserves the fact, that AKROMID® S, a polyamide 6.10, consists of up to 70% of a biogenic part and consequently even as "drop-in polymer" fulfils the definition of a biological compound. Characteristic for this material is the very high media resistance and excellent low-temperature impact strength. The product ranges from unreinforced to 50 % glass fiber reinforced variants.

Fields of applications are highly precise parts in technical apparatus construction as well as in precision engineering, technical parts in vehicle construction, as for example media pipes as well as media containers and connectors in vehicle electronics.
